The article is called Arresting the New Sexual McCarthyism: The New Legalism and Grace in the Family of God by L. P. “Whis” Hays of the Trinity Episcopal School. His basic, compelling comparision is that the modern day, or post-modern, ‘P.C.’ mindset is akin to McCarthyism in all relational aspects. Whether it is our dealing with children, the opposite sex or homo-sexuals, current social norms strangle us, hindering relationships. i think this guy’s arguments make alot of sense. it is an interesting contrast to the radification of New Hampshire Bishop-elect Gene Robinson by the U.S. Episcopal church.
